Introducing the RR Racing Carbon Fiber engine cover for the Lexus ISF. Rather than simply replicate the OEM ISF engine cover, we added REAL FUNCTION to the cover by implementing heat extraction vents. Not only do they look cool, but they reduce intake manifold heat soak and improve the longevity of the wiring loom plastics.
These new covers are produced from 100% real pre-preg carbon fiber to add that extra show touch to your engine bay. We use no fiberglass or plastic base, so these covers are strong and durable!
What makes the RR Racing Carbon Engine Cover different than other carbon fiber parts?
Quality, it's as simple as that. There are two basic techniques used to produce carbon fiber components, “wet” carbon and “dry” carbon. Wet carbon involves using carbon sheets and impregnating them with epoxy under a vacuum. Dry carbon utilizes pre-impregnated (called prepreg) carbon sheets and curing them in a vacuum under pressure in a vessel known as an Autoclave. Dry carbon results in components that are stronger and more dense with less internal porosity. Although the dry carbon pre-preg technique is more costly and is usually reserved for aerospace components and parts that require mechanical strength, we go the extra mile to make our engine covers as good as they can be – no expense is spared.
Please Note: the "F" badge must be removed and transferred to the new carbon engine cover. The badge is attached with double stick tape, it takes a minute to remove.
